Ever since I get rid of my Vegas XT and picked up a bowrider....the family and I have been going a lot more wakeboarding. The problem is that those things don't fit don't in a standard sized ski locker very well, they are wide...and the bindings are tall. We usually just prop up the boards in the corner of the boat somewhere....but it seems like they are always getting in the way.

I didn't want to spend $2000 for a wakeboard tower, and I don't want to drill any holes in the boat in order to mount some time of wakeboard holder. I was looking for a holder that would mount on the standard 1" diameter bow and stern rails that are on most bowriders and other boats....but nobody makes anything.

So I came up with this design.....I bought some parts off of ebay, did a little fabrication, and came up with this. It will mount on any 1" railing....it's adjustable, and easy to install and remove.

Anyone seen anything else like this? Should I attempt to patent this design? I would think that it would fill the market for people want a way to hold some boards, but don't want to buy a tower or can't afford a tower.
