Well look what arrived here...

[Scream And Fly]

This huge box arrived at my home, sent to me from Parker Rabe. Inside is the largest collection of OPC, Rabco Powerboats, and many, many miscellaneous photos of outboard performance boats from the 60s, 70s, and 80s - almost all shot by the late Randy Rabe. These are all original photos, and never published or scanned before.

I've never seen a collection this large before. This is immense in comparison to the first batch of photos from Randy Rabe's collection. I have a lot of work ahead of me here. I have already begun the task of organizing, dusting off, and preparing the images for scanning. The photos are in good condition and there are also many slides as well. I also get a kick out of the vintage shirts!

This collection is so huge that I will have to break it up into multiple installments.

Thanks again to Parker Rabe for sending these - I'm positive you will all find them as fascinating as I have!

Glad ya sent them to Greg instead me (like before asked me) as I would have gone crazy just looking at them, much less scan, etc. And Greg will do a way better job on them than I could!

Parker "fucstic"? Those were days parents had zero cam phones but like my dad, a picture freak as movies! When he passed my brother took all his old (40's) grainy movies, no sound, and did a hour DVD the best! His old Century Barrel back "woodie"? Great to watch as I was even born yet! Older bro and older sis that rugrats then..(now sis 80, bro 76). Plus have a lot of pix taken me a kid with dad in the "50's" boats. As be 66 Monday BDay and to look back "history" of my dad/mom us kids the "long ago"? PRICELESS! Hey Parks, just what pic ya got you a punk (still are but long ago) your "first boat"? I sure do! And more! Pix in the house, so later. Great thread! Keep it going and show some YOUR "first boat pix" First at 3 with family (my dad and brother built that boat and no oars! Had a 10 HP Elgin assend! Last a 6 foot "Skeeter" he bought just cause "cute", and that was my first boat! I ended up tearing out the motor slammed a hundred dads "can of nails" transom and slammed a 10 HP old Rude on it! Well, that didn't work like planned as was like slamming a 20 HP on a bathtub hull! Dad always told me .."that won't work", but never listened as I knew it all! He let me explore "stupid" before he said..."I told ya"!

Hate to say it, but I still got my 70's "speedo"! (And fits!) Long ago a friend tossing a "pool party". Anniversary them, old people and kiddies. Had the speedos under the "daisy Mae's" and showed up my old Shovel HD. Food, celebration over and "pool time"! Yanked the "daisy's" off and some old girl "you are in yer underwear!" Said nope its a guys swim suit! She walked away in a huff!
Too damn funny!
Now Parfucstic? You cannot not come here wearing nothing but some 37 pocket shorts past the kneecaps fulla junk (well Doritos and "some green leafy substance OK as its legal here). Need a back park fulla nothing, but ya look cool. YA gotta have purple hair and if "dreads"?.. that all good too for "points". Plus if have Bongo's, a Harmonica, Ukulele ya get the "red carpet"!

But going to Canada to piss off Dave? Ya NEVER would make it through Customs! Damn, I got tossed in the box as my GF (1986) when came out here from Illinois see my sis. We took the Ferry up out Seattle to BC/Victoria day trip. In customs line simple 5 questions same all, and when our turn? Said "save ya some time as yes, yes, no, of course not, no"
Well that didn't work as planned as one girl next to the guy asking me grabbed GF's purse (reminds me Sienfeld soup nazi helper girl taking back the "no soup for you, come back one year!) and both us "put into separate interrogation boxes"? Said hey, just funning and only a day trip from Seattle?..relax!
