2.4 cowl swapping to a 2.5 cowl

I was given a pretty nice looking 2.5 cowl I want to replace my old clam shell type 2.4 cowl what pan do I need or what's all involved

Post a picture to best advice you. Alien, light weight 245/260, drop bucket style?

If it has a pan you are gonna need to pull powerhead and get two gaskets.

No I didn't get it. The local boat shop had a pile of cowl just laying in the grass and he told me just take what I wanted

To use that cowl you will need both bottom halves and a front and rear mounting bracket. I would go look in that pile of parts again.
