boat build. opinions welcome..

I have a 87 winner alpha 2 bass boat, transom and floors completely rotted. Entire top cap is being cut off and going to build a fun boat. Its a little over 15' and have a lot of work ahead of me. Im probably going to install a 150 black max, with 8-10" of set back. I attached photos of identical boats I found on the net, and also an idea of the direction im going, except a little stouter than whats pictures. Im hoping for a 70 mph boat.. question I have, the boat has a flat transom, small pad and no strakes.. what yall think?345506345507345508

Sounds like a good to start with for what you want a "fun boat" for.

Looks like a fun project, but since you'll be into alot of structural work, build however you want that's the great thing about fabrication, why not widen the pad? Sky's the limit when you have glass and resin
