2014 E-Tec 135hp Shift rod connection location( for dropping L.U.

2014 Etec 135 hp . We want to drop the lower unit to change impeller.Is there a place near the lower unit where the shift rod can be disconnected or is it only onder the throttle body?

great place huh?biched about that in '73 AND every year after that we were a dealer till 1980., change it to a splined twisting shaft (you know like everyone else's)..they got G2's but still shiften the rest of the motors like we had in the 40s/50s.UNBLEIVABLE.course-----it does take more labor to change customers waterpumps.more labor=more labor$$$.-th

Yeah, I pretty much cringe when it's service time on my johnson . My mercs and yamis on the other hand are 15 min jobs
