This is a stretched version of the STV with a different deck. Same deck as the SV. Not a lot of them around, I think they're classified as a 21', but I could be wrong on that. They need power to run, but get flighty due to the tunnel length. Core would be questionable, and I wouldn't expect speeds in excess of mid 80s safely.

There was / is one in Brechin at John Spaeths shop having some work done.
based on what I saw it looked like the bottom had a pretty serious hook in it.
not sure what else they were doing to it.
mite be worth a call.

There were two Charger 20' tunnels. The first was their own design. John had one of these in his shop earlier this year. The Charger 20 tunnel second was an STV design. Post a side view, I'm not sure which you have.

That's right, I was a little foggy on that, thanks for clearing it up. I'm sure one of them was a 21' though, and looking closer at these pictures, this isn't the boat I thought it was. This isn't the SV/TV which shared decks. This is Charger's design. I seem to have mixed up the 2 designs, so my earlier performance statement may or may not be accurate. Sorry for muddying up the already murky water lol

So here is the brochure of the 20 ft charger same one I got so is the boat made by charger using summer ford's molds or is it a charger designed mold? I really wish I could find some rock solid info about this boat it must be pretty rare cause info on it is very minimal

Pretty sure that's Chargers design.
The reason there's not much info available is because, yes, they're rare.
The reason they're rare is they didn't perform as well as that were supposed to. Don't get me wrong, they're not a bad boat, just not what they were supposed to be.
Try to contact Murph. He used to work at Charger and likely had a hand in building your boat.
theres a few other members on S&F from up this way that may chime in with some info for ya.

This is Charger's design which was the TV...The 20' SV and the 20' STV shared the same deck. The TV was it's own model and as toomanytoys said they are somewhat rare. Cool boat.

Cool boat, probably a lot of fun, but now you have to drop the 'S' from your name here.
You should check the core, floor, and transom for safety's sake.

Depending on how it was built - most were heavy and needed a lot of set back and power to really run.
I had a 86 light weight version that I never really felt comfortable running too fast. It would porpoise after 50mph until you stuck your foot into it then would run fully aired out with neg. trim and if you ever let up too fast on the gas it would drop like a stone and slap the water launching you right out of the lake.
Max I ever got was about 80 or so - with a fair bit of chine walking.

So I've had the boat on the water for 2 years and the boat is very stable at high speeds in a straight line and I'm very happy with the boat for the price I have in it but it hates to turn 180 degrees lots of porpoisesing . It's works good for normal turns down the lake and my old 225 with a 28 raker prop I hit 81mph

81 is pretty cool. I am glad the boat works for you. My brother has a Charger DL so I am a Charger fan.
