Is this a useful tool?

Anyone use one or have any input. I have an opportunity to buy a good unit with a parts unit fairly cheap. I understand the theory of operation with them but havent laid eyes on the unit yet and thought I would ask.

Not much good to measure horsepower,but a great tool to put a load on a motor for testing cylinder output etc without having to go to the water,we have had em since 1976...recently got a 4000 to hold onto bigger motors.A good running 200 will overcome the 2000,but you will still be able to run at near full throttle to test things,Chris

set up with a load cell to measure torque you can get a bit more from them
