Is there a special way to take the gear off from the bearing carrier? My bearing carrier got broken an will need to change the housing an where can I buy the billet bearing carrier from?

Hold the carrier in a vise and use a 3 jaw puller on the inside of the gear, slide hammer style. Top Gun Marine was making billet carriers, not sure what he goes by on here. Do a search.
