Another visit into the past of outboards; this time to 1970. The more squared-off aesthetic modernization is in full-swing by this time, and the basic design of many of these engines would carry on until the 1990s. The newer 9.9 and 15-horsepower engines are still four years off, and the V6 is six years in the future. In the 1970 product lineup, there are still many 1960s-era engines basically unchanged. Although this dark-green color is classic looking now, I never fully appreciated it.
