Been a long winter up north and finally got a chance to shake the cob webs of the Grand sport today. Was a good day at the little lake down the road. Wish i put the bigger wheel on now. The trophy did pretty good at 7500 rpm though to 89. Made little gopro clip also. Hope you enjoy.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JShkAVA95ZY http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h151/whipperr/13239330_10154253677160337_3008606669296776843_n_zpsifoyerq3.jpg (http://s63.photobucket.com/user/whipperr/media/13239330_10154253677160337_3008606669296776843_n_zpsifoyerq3.jpg.html) http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h151/whipperr/13241260_10154253677065337_8991982351416551637_n_zpslgoocyck.jpg (http://s63.photobucket.com/user/whipperr/media/13241260_10154253677065337_8991982351416551637_n_zpslgoocyck.jpg.html)

What do you use for ballast, if any, when you ride by yourself? I weigh a lot more than you and mine tries to run on the driver's gunwale if I don't put weight on the passenger side.

There is a detailed thread showing the pylon setup on the Allison board and I think I did one on hear also Ill try and find it. The one in the clip is the stock Allison one its to short for the Alien cowl so I slide it out and have around a 44 inch one from Dana marine. Lots of uses.http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h151/whipperr/DSCF0014.jpg (http://s63.photobucket.com/user/whipperr/media/DSCF0014.jpg.html) http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h151/whipperr/2007-08-17_0002.jpg (http://s63.photobucket.com/user/whipperr/media/2007-08-17_0002.jpg.html)

I use the stock short one for my rod holders I made. haha So theres a 2 1/32 inside dia tube that secures the top to bottom were its just threw bolted as shown. Some holes for adjusting to different hights with a pin. the pylon is 2 inch out side dia that slides into the tube. You just need to get the top flange piece and drill a hole up top then threw the stringer in the bilge. if you dont have that stinger you will need to plate it some how down there? Ive seen a couple different setups mines a 2000. Pretty sure from my year up is like mine from the factory. http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h151/whipperr/2006-11-12_0190.jpg (http://s63.photobucket.com/user/whipperr/media/2006-11-12_0190.jpg.html) http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h151/whipperr/2006-11-12_0219.jpg (http://s63.photobucket.com/user/whipperr/media/2006-11-12_0219.jpg.html) http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h151/whipperr/pics1032.jpg (http://s63.photobucket.com/user/whipperr/media/pics1032.jpg.html) http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h151/whipperr/pics1034.jpg (http://s63.photobucket.com/user/whipperr/media/pics1034.jpg.html) http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h151/whipperr/pics1033.jpg (http://s63.photobucket.com/user/whipperr/media/pics1033.jpg.html)

15 lbs is all i need. If you look close i turned my seat base side ways and im driving more centred. When i have a passenger i slide it more starboard as needed. It works great!! i used to use 50lbs. The driver position at 6ft tall works perfect for me. The lever for sliding the seat port to starboard in on the starboard side. i just reach over and slide it were I need it for useing my body weight as counter weight. http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h151/whipperr/DSCF6381.jpg (http://s63.photobucket.com/user/whipperr/media/DSCF6381.jpg.html) http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h151/whipperr/DSCF6377.jpg (http://s63.photobucket.com/user/whipperr/media/DSCF6377.jpg.html) http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h151/whipperr/DSCF6380.jpg (http://s63.photobucket.com/user/whipperr/media/DSCF6380.jpg.html)

I just saw the pictures of your mount that you posted in my boat doesn't have the center Stringer so I guess I need to find pictures of a little bit older Allison right..mine is a 96

Im 225. But if you weigh more than that you will need less ballast with a side slide seat base.:D

I know i was going to put the 28 drag 3 on but since it was the first time out since October i was being nice to my motor. She was happy so ill load her up more next time with the 28 this weekend. Im at 2500 ft above sea level right now so 93-95 is all she has in her untill i go down south for a month at 700ft were shes done 98 on a lake. Ive never had her in brackish or salt water but sure would love to see how she would do with a 30 with the extra buoyancy and thicker air.
Great boat, hope your skeg was repairable. Do you see much other than flat water ?

Yes its is better than before on flat water slightly. I did the Baker/Allison Mod for the 200 case that fixed were the damage was. It was only on the very tip were it rolled back about an inch at the very bottom of the trailing edge. the Allison handling and speed mod for that section of the skeg requires that portion to be removed and radiused. So infact it turned out to be a blessing in desguise. Now my case has all the tricks. That one was the only one it never had. http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h151/whipperr/13312893_10154275183795337_4749541382955651142_n_zpsdf3gahvo.jpg (http://s63.photobucket.com/user/whipperr/media/13312893_10154275183795337_4749541382955651142_n_zpsdf3gahvo.jpg.html) http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h151/whipperr/13227221_10154275183760337_280847012285664271_n_zps9hhmgrpn.jpg (http://s63.photobucket.com/user/whipperr/media/13227221_10154275183760337_280847012285664271_n_zps9hhmgrpn.jpg.html)

That is a genius idea! I will need to check to see if my short legs will work with that set up. I have an "In-Control" accelerator pedal, so I should be able to adjust it closer if I need to. I will probably still need 50 lbs. in there with me!

You sit a little side ways because the wheel is off to the right but honestly you get used to it and i never notice anymore. Its very handy all the time because of the easy passenger adjustment. Less weight the better. every lb counts. The more you weigh the less counter youll need moving toward centre. i have around 20 and needed 50 before so what an easy way to loose 30lbs!!:D
