Scream And Fly

Those of you that have been members of Scream And Fly since the beginning will most certainly know who Skip Romani is. Going by the name "Talon2.5" on Scream And Fly's forums here, Skip began a series of cartoons in late 2001 called Scream-Toons. What made these especially entertaining is that they were almost all based off of real people here and their boats and adventures, as well as discussions on the forums. For these cartoons to have their full impact you would really need to know the meaning behind them - each one is representative of a particular person or incident.
Back then, Skip would draw the Scream-Toons and then we would publish them on our home page. I always backed up these great cartoons as an important part of not only Scream And Fly's history, but the history of our members here.
Here are all of the Scream-Toons that Skip created for us here from those times.

I would like to add a thank you to SKIP. In addition to the Scream-Toons, SKIP is the one who came up with my avitar. I told him I would like to use the screan name of OLEGATOR and let him go from there. I think he did a great job. I just hate I was unable to make the trip to RR as I haven't seen him since he moved.

Skip was a HUGE part of Scream and Fly, especially in the early days.
He is a special friend to me.
He always came off as the goodwill ambassador for S/F and for the state of Florida. I made many friends down there and several were my cheer leaders while I tried to figure out how to move my dumb ass down there.
Skip was always front and center.
If he knew I was making a trip down, he always rolled out the red carpet for me. It was w/him, Shore Pounder and...........(I'm old and cant pull his handle??) that were w/me when I made my 101 pass in the Vector and was actually Skip that was videoing.
I had been trying to bust a 100 for months and told the Fla group how happy I was that I did it there and that they were there to be a part of it.
I thought it was very appropriate.
The Screamtoon he did about me was after I posted a joke about someone sending me an issue of Pontoon magazine as a joke.
Next morning w/my coffee, I saw his Screamtoon ;)
Taught me a life lesson too.
One time at his place, while bitching about no garage to work on my boat down there, he took me out to show me his one car garage that stored Wendys car while his Talon that was stored outside. That was the shop he used to restore that Talon and build his many motor projects.
I never bitched again.
He was/is a huge part of our history and sorely missed.

Very well said, Gary. It was so awesome seeing Skip and Brian again at the River Ranch!

Some times in life things happen you do not expect or see coming, usually it is something not so great, but the other days as i was getting ready to play drums with a new band lineup test session, i got a text from an old friend that he was putting my old cartoon drawings for his website up on a main page so folks could enjoy them again 12 years later, I was thrown back by this generosity and damn near speechless.
The thought that something i did so long ago was still appreciated and on someones mind simply blew me away.
Many thanks to Greg Terzian for doing this.
Thanks for the kind words of the past, I had a great time with you all and has always been some of the absolute best memories I have to this day, bar none!
THANK YOU ALL!
