23cc 260 heads that also fit a 280

These are the heads i bought for my 280 when I pumped up the compression to race it. Took them off to return it to stock for my "lake" boat and got different mota for my "race" boat. I believe the compression was around 200-210 ftlbs when I had them on but don't remember exactly. I believe these will fit any 2.5 but also any motor with o-ring heads as well, but use head gaskets instead. Comes with a complete set of head bolts to fit this style that are in excellent working condition w/washers.....just may need a lil bit of polishing or paint

who machined the head bolt holes to 280 bolt pattern?I know the 260 head bolt holes have to be machined to oval shape to fit 280..thanks

I bought them as a recommendation from Mike Giesler, but they were on BYUBOYZ. I can't remember the name of the guy but he was from the south....I put them on my 10hr 280 that I just put Wizzards and a ton of money into makin her totally fresh inside and they worked great! Put the motor back to original full stock setup for the alternator to provide the power for my stereo on a lake boat......don't need the crazy compression anymore lol

BTW....the crap on the heads in the pics is dirt and not pitting everywhere. Don't know how the hell it got on them cause they have been in a box for a yr lol but I can take better pics if someone wants me to.
