I bought a boat to get the trailer with a title for a modest price then took an interest in the outdrive and engine on the boat since it is a Mercury product dating from 1975. It's a Dixie boat and rotten to the core so there were no second thoughts about giving it the circular saw treatment, all the wood was rotten and wet. I'm trying to get a tempermental 1989 Mercury 150 to go for my Checkmate and had a rectifier smokebomb on me so I was wondreing if any of these parts from this dead boat have any value. The Mercury serial# is 4466411. The motor turns with a breaker bar, the starter is shot. It has a Mercruiser 888 outdrive with a stainless steal prop. Any input on this outdrive or engine would help.

I'm no expert and I am sure someone with knowledge about that specific setup will chime in but that looks to me like a small block Ford, maybe 302/351W. Other than that can't offer any help.
