Sony action camera. It's a program you download and the camera has gps built into it.

Very cool, thank you! That looks great. The Amity Cut and its surrounding area really brings back so many memories. In the late-1990s we had so much fun there on the old Wednesday-night meetups at Tanner Park.

No problem. It seems the older we get the faster we go the shorter the cut gets. I remember stringing out my superboat at 80 down the cut and felt like forever. Now it's like holy **** slow down we need more room!

Thank you all for the kind words. Not trying to start any problems but think about if this post didn't have gps and video all in one, this thread would have bin 9 pages deep with hate or the gps is wrong comments. So to all the haters and people who say I'm full of **** with my claimed speeds where are all the comments now???? Again thank you to the guys who commented and you'll be seeing alot
more videos. This summer is all about speed and documenting something I love and share some kind words with friends so haters stay away!

A Great Video, and big :thumbsup: :cheers: to your Viper and whatever you did to rig it so well.

Any advice that's not top secret to us that might be building a boat with similar desires?

Awesome ... Excuse me while I drool a bit :).

Ira...You mean me? Or the jet powered Viper crew? I run my boat very conservatively these days and have owned go fast boats since 1970 or so. I would strap one on if I was gonna run trimmed to the edge for a top end #. Never a bad idea to wear one. I ran my King to 103 at one time and was wearing a good vest...

Nevered weighed them but he says the new viper is faster. Alot lighter in the bow

Nevered weighed them but he says the new viper is faster. Alot lighter in the bowQuicker maybe but lighter doesn't always equate to faster. A boat on the heavier side is more stable and can balance out easier and creep up top numbers. All of the fastest top end STV's out there are not light layups. There is a reason the ODBA and other organizations only run 600-800 ft instead of the 1320' in the lighter carbon fiber boats. They can get flighty. Not good

All do respect here guys. Your flying for sure and my hats off to you. Love the video and I hope you break your record for top end  Just be careful. Ive seen it happen too many times and it actually haunts me at times in my nightmares.

Good luck and be safe guys

I ended up with 125 pounds of sand bags in front of the pedal board in my viper, then I came to my senses de rigged the boat and gave it away.

Thanks. I hope he hits the speeds this up coming season. The first day out in the new viper with the same setup and two other people in it ran 106 easy. He might need weight up front. Wont know till he runs it again

Easy to say, 106 easy.... Don't take this the wrong way, but drivers have a responsibility to provide some proof of these speeds for it to be viewed as legit. (at least by me) Not saying it can't be done, just that at this extreme level it needs to be documented for posterity.

I don't doubt it at all. That boat ran over 102 with a tired Bridgeport. Not sure what's on the back of it, but that boat will move. Be safe out there.

I have another youtube video of me in my tunnel and him next to me at 106 with 2 other people aboard. As far as the easy part goes as long as its nice out its a 105mph boat easy, or atleast he makes it seem easy in a short span. If he only spent more time on setup it would be faster.
