Help!!

Fuel pump runs when 12v is connected to it...
but otherwise won't.

the two wires do have up to 12v....bouncing all over the place from 6v to almost 12v...

I'm about to trace them down stream to see if ground one is bad.
The positive side is good, steady 12v when grounded. When grounded to the negative side, it's all over the place. And I think that (I forgot!) the negative side when grounded to the positive cable at the solenoid (or whatever it is where the main power cables attach to motor) has about 11v...

I just want to be sure there should be a steady 12v there...

Thanks

the fuel pump driver in the ecu is out:iagree: it wont fix it self i have a pile of ecus with drivers out its a easy fix disconnection the two wires off pump dont use them again attach a isolated ground to the neg side of pump do it right with wire eyes and such, then run a wire from baklite bar next to starter solenoid there are two purple wire there add a hot wire there run it to pump on plus side it will get hot when you turn on the key you will be in business

Thank you!!!

So ground the pump to the motor? Like in a place that's already maybe got a ground wire?
