Ever try wearing a skirt---

--- on your Skater or similar hull?
Have seen what appears to be a rubber skirt piece across the back of the tunnel of some of the small European cats.
I can understand how it would help pack more air at a slower speed, but does that also help get thru the porpoise or reduce the envelope where it occurs?
What are the advantages or disadvantages of adding it ?
