I think you're going to find that most insurance companies take a dim view of any boat that goes over 100 MPH. That said, "reasonable rates" (as defined by most of us) are going to be next to impossible to find. Another dimension will be the length and type of hull. A 50' V-bottom that runs 100 MPH will be a bit easier to insure than an 18' boat that runs the same speed. And if the hull just happens to be a cat, good luck.
I guess the biggest question might be what you define a "reasonable rate" to be?

Hi guys, thank you for your advise, I called all the above suggestions and found M&D in Orillia were the best price. For a 21ft Tuff boat with a 300XS I'm looking at $2,600 for the year, the only thing I can say is "holly crap"
how many guys are running their high performance boats with no insurance?

I don't think you'll get too many people to admit to that in public.

Running boats with no insurance is for someone with no assets. Or maybe a very rich man.

You spoke with Jason Famme?
id be very surprised if he can't place coverage on a Tuff 21 / 300XS for substantially less then $2,600.
if you can't find his contact info let me know.

Make sure they aren't quoting you full coverage year round unless you use the boat year round. If its seasonal like here in Maine, you may be able to save a little... if a bank is involved you may have to keep full coverage on it but I would ask the question.
