My son Paul made this video a couple of years ago as a tribute to the Johnson and Evinrude brands. Lots of S & F guys throughout. That's him in his 18 Action at 3:57. He's thinking of doing a Mercury one. What do you guys think? Any interest?

Very cool find. The opening minutes show Gerry Walin running the Starflite boat built by Wilbur McDonald and powered by the OMC Super Strangler. That is some very historical footage there. Walin was a young Seattle kid who went on to win a ton of stuff for OMC until he had a tragic run.

One of the most perfect motors I have ever owned. 2010-2016 I never took the cowel off until 2013 for a factory recal!
My Merc buddies and I were laughing because we didn't know how the cowel latches opened!
