We just inked a deal to rent a 40' X 80' and a 60' X 120' tent for the Rumble.
We will use the 40' X 80' to display Ken Warby's record attempt boat and we would also like to have all of last years winners and their boats on display in the same tent with Ken.
So that means that:
King of the Rumble--- Bob A.
Quickest -- Eric Saloom aka Allison771
Fastest---Greg Cyranoski aka G Train
Best of Show--- Rick Fisher aka Damage Inc.
Worst Luck-- Charlie Mendes aka Charlie M
Most Time on Water--- Bruce Leonard aka BL
Farthest Tow--- Tony Brucato
we expect you guys to be front and center and please bring your awards to show off too.
We will be using the 60' X 120' for party central and for "OUR" band, the one, the only ----"FAST COMPANY".
We figure this way you guys can be on your own schedule and be free to practice/jam when ever the heck you want to and leave your stuff set up too.
4 months from next weekend, are you guys all going to have your projects done by then??
P.S. Cappy Insaneo, are you still game for helping us out with the P.A.??

Gator,
On the PA deal. I borrowed a device for the Tickfaw Mardi Gras parade to make some noise.
http://airmasterstab.com/speaker.jpg
I had two but only ended up with one on the barge because it was incredibly loud with just the one. It has amps, equalizer, woofer & other speakers all in one. Plug it into 110, add an imput signal from radio, cd or mike and away you go. Draws almost no current. We had two of them on an 800w generator while testing and the generator never came off idle while the walls of my shop were shaking.
I can bring four of them if needed. Just let me know.
By the way, the Northern Chapter of the By-U-Boyz will be holding our Ralley on the weekend of June 7-8 in Shreveport. I believe it would only be good ediquete if you and the Frankerude were in attendance. I will provide a place to stay, park the boat and all the beer you can hold.

G Train, I've heard. Bring em all.
LT, sounds good on the speakers. I'd say yes for now but let you know for sure shortly.
As far as testing go's--I'm getting closer.
Just had the deck re-sprayed and am starting on final rig. Still have the trailer and the floor of the boat to paint yet, final plumb and wire on the motor and thats pretty much it.
Trying to finish thw Whaler so i can get piad for it and bring the Sonic home to go through both power heads.

Lookin' good there man. Instibator, I'll call down around Carrolton and see if I can rent some cabinets for a couple days. The only reason I'm coming down is to make you a Rex look bad, and being that yous is pretty ugly already it's gonna be tough to do. :D :p At the rate I'm going I'll be driving my 12 foot tin boat with a 15 merc. I figure I can fill it with beer and ice and just drive around all day keeping everybody loobed up. By the time I get two boats, 2 drums of gas, oil, sparepower heads, guitar bull****, me, dog, beer bong and all other crap I'm going to be loaded down, may need to make two trips! NOT!

Boat looks awesome!
Didn't answer about June cause in my world it's still a long ways off!
Finances are very, very tight right now.
Trying to buy/find a house and I need to work on my finances a bit before I can do it.
I have to be out of this place about that same time!
It does sound good though, I'll work on it.
Nut, good idea. I'll see if I can find someone to take care of it. I am out of time to be adding more things onto my plate for the Rumble. This will be the thrird one I've put on and I have'nt had the chance/time to participate at any of them yet!
And on the aluminum can recycling, I'll wajor that a few pistons end up in the can before the end of the weekend too.
Insaneo, I know what you mean about hauling junk.
When i went down last lear, I took a full size van that was packed to the cieling, with my 24' Sonic in tow.
Oh yeah, the boat was packed tight too. Inculding the cuddy cabin!!
Suspension bottomed out, tires squirming, it was one of the scarriest rides in my life when coming down the hills!! Let's just say it didn't want to go straight:eek:

Been there..... Is there a modern type camp ground nearby? That way I could haul one with my motor home and someone can follow with my truck and other boat. A place to camp on the river would be the poo. You should see the cooler I've found!

ModVP22,
Hard to belive, he just looked at the boat, picked up his airbrush, and started painting. No pattern, no tape - nothing. I was, and am impressed.
An interesting sidepoint. T-Rex is creating a 1/6 model of the boat to auction off at the Rumble. It will be radio controlled and powered by a weedeater motor. Proceeds to MAW. I believe I will be a bidder.
Gator,
Here is the deal. Free lodging, free food, free beer, and we can argue over the amount of the gas allowance. All payment for the hard work you put in so we can have a blast at the Rumble. Come party will us.
Just talked to Ken. Trying to get him and the Hooroo Guru from down under on the list of attendies. I know you are reading Dave. Bring that Jap powered Hydro with you so you can recieve a proper thrashing from a piece of American iron.
H20Nut,
What a cool idea. I know the By-U-Boyz will contribute our fair share to the pile of aluminum.

To Rex building a runnning model of the E.T. boat to auction off for M.A.W., I'M SPEECLESS!!! For any ungly Coon Ass Old Bird, he does a soft heart! I will also be bidding on it.
LT, that might be the motovation I need to get this damn thing (Vector) done!! Thank You for the most generous offer! You are a class act Dennis! I will look at some things and make a desicion in the next few days.
Insaneo, There is a "real" camp ground about 5 miles from the park.
They allow camping "at" the park but you only get elctricity.
If you want to be at party central, (I've never met you but I'm guessing that you do) this would be the place to be!!
"Take a Trip, and Never Leave the Farm!!"
We had several crews do just that last year.
It is drawing close and it is time for me to get motivtaed on a lot of different ends. I am in "negotians" with my "web mistress" and hopefully have something up for us before long.
I have tried it myself over and over, and the last straw was trying to add a new page to the current site and it "overwrote" the previous opening page and erased it!!
I also wrote a new page about last years winnners and it has disappeared!! Very frustrating!!
Oh well, we should have a bit of fun in a few months anyhow :)

You're on it brother!!
Last year we had the band playing at the Tiki bar right down the road and then coming to the pavillion, setting up and playing until 2 - 4 A.M. every night. I was in bed at 4, and back up at 6 for 4 nights in a row!
Now we have a tent for them to play when ever they want to.
Do you catch where I'm going with this;)
Technically is a "no alcohal" park but they left us alone last year and worked very well with the local constables.
And yeah, I was at Jasper but don't remember meeting you??

Gator had the local enforcement guys on his side.
This is the "Man" sitting under the By-U-Boyz tent and that is not a coke in Baby Huey's hand.
http://airmasterstab.com/Law.jpg
They were extremely nice. All they asked for was some form of sanity. I think everybody except for Raptor pretty well complied.
Please Gator, do not run the price up on me. My airbrush guy has agreed to put the eagle on the model. I have been working on Rex just to let me have it with a donation to MAW. He is having none of that. Says the price will go up. What are friends for.
Can't wait to me you Insan-o. We used to camp like that all the years we were racing bikes but Gean lost the will and now it is Holiday Inn. We will try to hang - should be a blast.

Insaneo, oh yeah! I kinda remember you :p
On the camping part of it, thats what it's all about!!
The nine years I actually raced I think I actually stayed in a room a total of 2 or 3 times. (rebuilt a 2cyl Merc clamped to a coffeee table and hot wired the vibrating bed in one)
Remember one time we were at our Nationals which were a week long. I had a 11' X 14' tent that I always took and used to have a sign I'd stick in front of it at the races that said "The Hilton Inn North". (was young and easily amused at the time)
One year a hell of a storm brews up in the middle of the night. We of course had been up partying all night the night before and slept through it :o
When we get up, out of the probably 50 tents that were there I think their were maybe 2 or 3 still standing! (mine was not one of them)
The cool thing was that at the time, Fred Miller (Gordies dad) was deeply involved of the running of this race. He kept us on a tight leash and our early morning drivers meetings were mandatory.
So he gets on the P.A. at the butt crack of dawn and says, "Good Morning, This Is God!!"
Was freagin hillarious! The calm after the storm kinda thing I guess.
Had to be there!
LT, am working on working things out with the "boss" (hopefully for good this time) and ran your idea of a trip past her. She says: "let's go"!
Is looking very promising and again, will let you know definate in day or two.

I am very jealous of all you guys that do that, I sincerely thionk that is the ****!!
That actualy is one of the things motivating to get my Stream together. Totally different type of boatine/exploring than what I've done in a long, long time.
Hell I counted 13 lakes within 60 mileas of where I live and I'm ashamed to admit I haven't been to all of them ;)
Got a feeling you and me may get in some trouble at the Rumble.
After I thump your boat and that black thing on the back first of course

(man, I forgot how much fun **** talkin is!!:D )
Been layin low till I got the Vector close enouh to be confident that A. it would run, and B. I'd have the time to actually run it at the Rumble. For "B",see the above post about volunteer help.
If I/we don't get the help we need, that will be my excuse for not running every one this year.
Hell, I'm gonna have to give out numbers!! I've been talkin **** for so long with nothing to back it up, I'll have a hundred hours (if it stays together) on it from running all the people that want a piece of my ass by Sunday!!
Yammer, didn't you say you were going to get some stickers of little tiny Mercs to put on your boat for "kills"??
And, can your boy up North due the "Merc Killer" with the "killer" in orange??
Or how about you "Fast Eddie" can your shop make these for me  Or more acuratley, wopuld you??
