River Ranch Photo Shoot Information!

Hi All,

The River Ranch presents an ideal photo shoot location, and as such we always organize a shoot on Friday and Saturday.

As always, I will be shooting photos at the River Ranch and Jeff from Freeze Frame will also be shooting with me. Jeff will be shooting photos in the canal behind the restaurant/launch ramp on Friday and I will be there on Saturday. Jeff will be there both days.

Usually a lot of people want photos, and I would like to be able to get several passes by everybody. To this this safely, we really need to be organized as follows:

8:30AM Friday and Saturday: Meet up at the restaurant and launch boats. Let's all try to be ready and in the water by 9:00. Once in the water, let's have everybody make their passes one by one. When you pass the photo boat (Jeff's Superboat 21 "Baby Freeze Frame"), stay at the end of the running area and wait for everyone else to complete their pass.

When everybody has made their pass for a photo, everybody can go back to the starting point together in a group, then we can repeat it. Just like how the drag races are run. This way, it's safer and there are no problems with boat wakes. When we do it this way, everybody will be able to get three or four passes within an hour. It really makes everything safe and efficient.

If you would like any specific shots, just ask and if needed, we can take care of any shot you need.

Important:

You do not need to run crazy speeds to have an awesome looking photo. In a photo, 90 MPH looks the same as 120 MPH. Please do not do anything risky at all.

If you plan on running very fast, I would ask that participants wear proper safety gear. A vest should be considered minimum. If anybody is doing anything reckless, I will not encourage it by shooting photos. Above all, please be safe.
