DAMN! I remember back 40/30/20 years ago before internet, when ya had to hit a "boat place" and bother the owner/wrench ANY question! Remember (in Illinois Fox Chain) back 70's with the XS Swit, new in 74. Bobby Switzer (known well) built the boat special order, and Ralph Kozan (also known well) got the new motor to "massage". Jim Moulis from Fox Lake Harbor, (also known) did the rigging. Well, a couple years later I had a question about the L/U being worked on me. Went there (FLH) and the side to shop gate was open, and see a Mech back there working. Parked, walked back and we talked a bit. SOON! Heres comes Jim and HE'S PISSED. Told me flat out "WTF ARE YOU DOING BACK HERE? Said asking a quick question. Well, he said "questions with answers well cost you, as I PAY that Mech to work". Told me flat out..."You give me $20 RIGHT NOW, or ya not gonna leave her"
Then a friend here owns decades "Toms Outboards" in say 2000..(still no decent net) went to him ask about 70's 25 HP electrical problem a motor I was working on a friend here. Spent 5 minutes me, and I still keep on questions as motor unfamiliar. He said "if you want to keep this up, we can sit down and talk for a hour, but it will cost ya $85 labor charge, MY TIME"
So look what ya get here for FREE! I know ya all get what I mean here. People here civil to each other, share knowledge freely, and help all they can..PLUS those reading just might get a free answer in replies.
And the DECADES of knowledge shared? PRICELESS! BUT, it STILL shouldn't come "free" Greg and the rest do there BEST to keep up a great site, and that aint free them. Do me a favor if "not a member"? $25 a YEAR will make ya a team member.
Dudes..(and Dudetts) here? Ya all bunch crazy idiots, and "thanks all" for the knowledge "new stuff" as ..well..thanks! ;):D:thumbsup:

Thank you so much Robby, I really am grateful for your support, and the support of everybody. Of course everybody contributes to S&F - whether they are Team Members, Supporting Vendors, or not. What matters most is the contributions to the community and our sport as a whole. That is priceless, and I am grateful for so much. Since the very beginning the goals of this site were driven by feedback I receive from all of our members. That has always remained true and will never change.
Having said that, indeed Scream And Fly is very costly to run, and I have to give an extra thank you to our Team Members and Supporting Vendors because, quite simply, without them this site would not exist. With the traffic we host and especially the work that I've had to invest in the site for maintenance and upgrades, this is an especially costly year. But, it's worth it, and it's going help prepare the site for all the cool things I have planned. So many of you have given your support for Scream And Fly for so many years, and it's something that I never take for granted, and it means a great deal to me. It's what motivates me always try my hardest to make this site the very best I could possibly make it.
Thank you so much Robby. Oh, and I fixed the spelling error too :)

$25 a year is pretty dang cheap for everything here. But the big thing is what Greg has done to put, and hold, this thing together. Thanks Greg and all who help out.

I've been on the site for 15 years. I've had nothing but good experiences. I had a member send me props to try. He didn't know me from adam, but he did it anyway. I recently purchased my new boat thanks to this site. So thanks for the opportunity to participate.
