general question

I have a mercury black max 200 2.4 L and i was not getting any spark so i bought 2 new switch boxes now am having a problem hooking them back up because the yellow sleeve on my trigger came off some how so now i dont no which 3 wire go to the outter switch box can any one help me ?

The yellow marked wires go to the outside box.The green wire goes to the bottom terminal,the green/white goes to the third one up from the bottom,and the green/red goes to the fifth terminal.
The yellow marked wires go to the coils on the starboard side.Green/red bottom,green/white center,and green top. Good luck.

I have that down pack but there are 6 wires that come from the trigger 2 brown 2 white and 2 violet. 3 of these wires carry a yellow identification sleeve to show that 3 wire go to the outter box but the person i purches the engine from maybe removed the yellow identification sleeve so now i cant tell the difference

I do not know of a way to identify those into pairs,once the yellow sleeve is gone.
maybe look for a rub mark or a clean spot on the wires where the sleeve used to be.
