Question...

I saw in your sig that you owned a Carlson Conquest and didnt remember off of the top of my head what a conquest was so I googled it....

Is there much difference between the Conquest and a Corinthean?

I think they're identical other than yr's.
I think mine was a '69 and only rated for 125 hp and the '70 for 250 hp. I was told that was so they could accept twins.
Loved that boat.

Catawba state park.
It has been to Leamington Ontario before and Pelee Island a 100 or so times.
Ran 80 on speedo w/the looper on there.

That is odd looking but cool boat. Is that similar to the hydrostream Venus??, I think that is what the hydrostream model is called.

I've not seen either boat first hand but the Carlson looks like it has quite a bit more boat above the waterline than a venus does.... I would assume that the venus has a lot more technology build into the hull as well... When I first saw this particular carlson with big motors on it I thought it was suicidal - but i've read that they can handle modern big power pretty well... All goes back to Mr. Arthur Carlson being a freaking genius and way ahead of his time.

Totally different boats.

Doc is correct on the freeboard too. Twice as much on the Glastron.
It was a '60's era vee bottom w/a very wide pad.

The Venus started as a vee then became an air entrapment hull.
Same hull as Vegas and wicked fast w/big power.
