In the process of repowering a Bayliner Trophy with an Evinrude eTec 115.
Removed the 115 Optimax - the steering lock nut on the tilt tube is seized - salt water motor.
Ordered new support arm kit and need to understand this kit a little better.
Does the locking collar fit onto the starboard end of the tilt tube, and the 1 5/16 nut basically jam the support arm in the tilt tube?
The other support arm is held only by the nut on the end of the support arm where it meets the rod the hydraulic cylinder?
I can't find good instructions for the install, and the arms being seized in the Optimax I can't take it apart and see how it works.

Thanks in advance,

I just installed one on my boat you're correct. Starboard side large bolt goes over the top of a c clip that spaces out the steering arm. The port side just slides into the outboard clamp and is only held involve by the locknut at the end of the hydraulic arm.
