Norbert, That TVX hull was being built by Action Marine in Fort Lauderdale Fla. back in (87-88) it's a tunnel vee hull that was pretty fast back in those days, dont know how fast it can run cause back then there were no 2.5's to put on them. There is another boat called a Laser that looked just like it but I think it's 19ft, a friend of mine had the Laser with a 200merc that ran 80-85.

My dad raced that boat when Bobby Pazos first built it back at the Carribean Club in Key Largo. I think of the 3 people it hooked on, he was the only one that stayed in the boat. It had a nasty tendancy to hook turning left.

I'll see if I can get him on here to comment.

Hey Man, long time...I saw your dad at my dad's 50th in December. Brings back the old days. I've got my dad looking for an STV for me...need to show some of these lake guys what an outboard is all about.

I've been out on the lake a few times and I don't remember seeing ANY outboards.

hey guys just because there were no 2.5's  back then doesn't mean there wasn't any fast boats!! for example the tvx that my dad owned ran right at a 100mph and also look at motor a 1983 xcross flow running mid 90's right now!!!

Yeah Bobby, I've seen those pics, and the ones on ************'s sight...with the video of the blown V8 Gordon built. You can make your dad out easy on the dock while the boat gets launched. :)

Heck yeah, dig them out. Our dads are cool! ;) It's kinda weird sitting here talking about stuff our dads did, but hell, it's nice to have history.

Bob Lacoste brought old pics to my dad's 50'th party in December...lots of old pics of the old crew (Lacoste, Pazos, Lockliear, Breig, Sinclair, etc). I remember all the old actions.

I hear your dad's STV is pretty darn fast. :D

can u guys post a pic of a TVX. Im looking at 1 for sale. & theres a inset notch in the transom, I have never seen a boat with a notch in the transom like this, I hoping sombody did not cut it out, but im not sure. So if you guys could help me, it would be greatly appreciated. The notch is located exactly where the jack plate mounts, even stranger they had to cut out a few small notches in the cap for the jack plate to clear when going up. Also i saw a post about these boats have a bad tendency of hooking. I dont want to get hurt in a bad boat design, so if u can please HELP. Thanks
