Adapting a 75hp 3cyl to 50hp 2cyl mid/lower

I haven't had any of these apart but I've done some reading about hopping up the OMC triples.
Can an adapter plate of some sort enable putting the 3 cyl power head onto the twin cylinder mid and lower?

The power head doesn't have the same bolt pattern and the driveshaft doesn't have the same spline and they don't share the same exhaust tuner.
