Anyone please: a good source for 1987 DT115 Suzuki engine parts. I know this one will probably bring on the rats, please be gentle. It has been a very good pontoon boat engine. I need a stator and find a lot of them for sale but not necessarily for the 1987 year . Compatible years? Rod

Have you tried Browns Point Marine? They have a large stock of the old suzuki 2 stroke parts....Thanks for the reply. I tried Browns but they did not have the parts. There was a change in the electronics under the fly wheel between 1987 and 1988. My serial number showed up as a 1987 and their's showed up as a 1988. My engine is a DT115 Suzuki ser.#115 2811721. Now I am not certain which I have--help? Manual should arrive this week some time. The 10 amp fuse leading to rectifier was replaced with a 25 amp (dumb dumb) and smoke appeared from under the flywheel. Have not pulled the flywheel to see what was smoked! Rod

Received my CLYMERS manual today and found it to be nearly useless! Would not recommend CLYMERS to any body. Still trying to find out the year of my DDT115 ser #115-811721

11502-811721 would be an 88. Your numbers are jumbled there.
Take 11502- prefix for 115 hp model......811721 is the serial number, 88 starting serial range is 811083.....so 811721 falls after 811083 and ...... Ta da 1988 115 .
I may have something in my used parts bins ...i work for a suzuki dealer and we have been hoarding used parts since 1977.lol
WHAT COLOR IS THE MOTOR AND STICKERS ?

Thank you for straightening me out on the year and the numbers. I corrected the numbers on my earlier post/ It is in fact an 88. Do you mind if I PM you? I hate to sound so dumb on a public forum or I could give you a call (310) 488-3563. Rod
