Forward bearing in torquemaster install ?

Merc manual says must use install tool 91-18605A2 and cup driver 91-87120 to install forward gear bearing race. First torquemaster I ever did, before I just used driver and mallet with stabdard housing units. It looks like new tool just keeps bearing race straight. Anyone tried to do this without tool 91-18605A2. Thanks, 3-Liter

X2 you can also slide the bearing retainer over the prop shaft to help make sure you don't cock the race installing it.
