Etec powerhead rebuild parts Pro Marine vs WSM

I don't want to start a brands war just opinions and input based on past experience please.

I'm overhauling a 250HP 3.3L Etec Powerhead for a fishing boat. This will not be a go fast performance motor. Just looking for a reliable re- build built on a budget. I don't need forged pistons so I'm planning on using WSM pistons. What I want input on is the bearings and connecting rods from WSM and Pro Marine. Where are they made (China, Japan, Thailand, etc) Are they same parts just different dealers?

I never had a problem with pro marine parts . Never used WSM though

I have never built an OMC but for Merc stuff I prefer pro marines stuff if its a high performance motor but WSM stuff is good quality....for a fishing motor you cant go wrong either way....

I've used WSM parts and liked mentioned above, they seem to be good quality. For your application either vendor will do just fine.
