30ft Superboat Tempest Rigging

I took a pair of 15in 2.5L EFI 280HP from a Cat Hull and added some 5in Spacers on my 30Ft Superboat. Should I change my Lower Units and put the LEFT HAND on the right engine and the RIGHT HAND on the left engine?

Also when replacing the impeller is it recommended to change the water pump housing also? Or could I use the same housing?

Currently I'm running a pair of Mercury offshore race 280's. I'm still tuning but getting about mid 80's with them. I'm expecting to get a few more MPH but will see in the coming weeks if the weather lets up some.

What are you getting with the V8 Johnsons?

I just recently picked it up but have heard that the previous owners we're getting mid to high 80's when the motors were fresh from Baker Marine. Sounds like you're doing really well

Bingo! I think you were at the Bremerton deal this year weren't you? If so, it was your boat rekindled my desire to own this boat and lit a fire under my ass to make it happen. :-)
