1979 hydrostream restore

I have a 1979 hydrostream vultcher. My dad bought in 1980. Iv had it for 15 years. Its time to redo the core floor transom. New seats a jack plat and a few other upgrades. Now I need some advice. What to use for glass. What for the core? I'll have internet in my shop this week. So I can post pics.

You can do a very good job that will last for years with plywood,balsa,and vinyl ester resin.OR you can go with all the latest,greatest,lightest,and most expensive.They both will do nicely.

I like new light and fast. Speed costs money how fast can I afford to go?
