big bearing case will accept sportsmaster guts
there a couple of things that can be done to a 200 case that helps them live a little better weld the pin in the clutch dog and put a good carrier like a Geiger tec 1 in there
I have beat on a 200 big bearing case this year with 200 guts in it

i will use a Geigertec carrier in every case i build.
does the big bearing case use a stronger propshaft..? is the big advantage being able to use sporty guts? with stock internals is the big bearing case more durable?vs small
iv spun a stock carrier in 1 case and iv broken a pinion gear in another case. im looking to build this one as strong as possible..

just a little more to it then that there are two all right small forward bearing is what called a non ratchet case and none of the gears interchange with the big bearing case who casting number is 1647 9147 c1 it is the last ratcheting case and has a tail section anode it is the best case to cone imhop there are a lot of details building gear cases ivebored reverse gears out to 1.55 on the ID so i could run 1 1/4 dia big shaft with all fishing mota gears just big carrier and shaft and single drive shaft bearing if you know yore stuff you can make them last for a long long time i have many many case behind me and they was not all winners lots of them was pieces in short order good luck

Some of the small bearing cases have a 2 bearing preloaded drive shaft also. I am in the middle of a case build now. The original one was a big bearing with out the anode and non preload drive shaft. The one we went with is a small bearing but it has the 2 bearing preload drive shaft.
The big bearing harden steel out put shaft with the standard spines fit in this case. Also a after market big bearing carrier.
The screw on clutch will also fit in this case.
The guys at Colabella marine are really good to work with.
Lots of experience at lake X behind them.....
