Can the parts be picked up at a local auto parts store? If so, can anyone tell me which parts I need?

Thanks.

In boat fuel pump....high psi...not carb.....and psi regulator....have to be adjustable from parts store..or buy set ones from diamond marine....fuel line for return to tank

Yah. I'm looking for part numbers or a lil more detail. His reply was a little vague.

Well....I have the front half of it....went to a 245/260 back half.....

I'm running bosch 044 pump....aeromotive a1000 regulator

-8AN line to pump.....-6 AN line after pump and on return to tank....I also ran a inline filter before pump and before fuel rail

Jesus that's an expensive option. 300 in just the pump and regulator. O.o

Try ebay....I ain't trying to start a debate but you CAN find real bosch pumps there for a good price.....but make sure they the real deal

I like the setup along with the brucato where I can easily switch from 39 to 56 lb curves and play with psi in tuning

Will do. I just want to clean up under the cowl andsimplify the fuel system. Too many things to go wrong with the vst.

Give Amazon a look too. Lot's of reliable dealers, probably find bosch pumps for a pretty decent price. My dad ordered one, just had to get the proper barb fitting for the fuel system he was running on the 260.

Much easier/cheaper regulator option

did you have to tap the bottom of regulator for fitting...or it already threaded?

thats reg out of vst correct?

I know this is a older post but I was hoping you could expand on using this stock VST regulator.
We're going to run a PM with a bosch 984 fuel pump. I initially thought I could run the bosch gold reg but we realized that it needs the cross over I believe like the 260.
Instead, were going to run the Aeromotive reg with a 39psi Brucato and hopefully call it good.
I have a stock VST regulator like the picture and was hoping you could expand on the mods needed, what fuel pump you used and any other helpful advice.

Wow been a minute since I’ve been on here!! I’m racing a class that requires laser injection so I have learned a lot of tricks since then.u can run gold regulator without crossover but keep in mind they are 39lb and your laser system actually runs at 36lb and a few pounds of fuel pressure goes a long ways in regards to your fuel curve!!!If u have your factory regulator I would tap it like shown above works very well and your Bosh pump will be fine.

Thanks for hopping back on and responding. I've always been a carb guy but last year we were going to compete in the Parker Enduro with a James Perry PM. The stock VST quit the night before the race and we didn't have the parts to fix it. Wanted to replace the VST system with a remote fuel pump with the gold reg. The stock ECU would tolerate the 39psi but Brucato wasn't having it at all. Also didn't realize 3 or 4 psi could make that much of a difference. I think we're on track now and we can dial in the Brucato. I will be trying the mod of the stock VST reg in the future. Thanks
