Little Sunday morning Vid we shot with YouTube's TRC... That Racing Channel.
Ran my venom, FYI , I wish my Venom ran 115 ... LOL

LOL, Yes guys this is a pleasure boat, By no means a drag boat.
I run a stock 280 with consumer box. Runs 103-104 on the limiter. Yes any Jasper boat would have blown both those cars away.

That is really cool to see. Great idea to do it. A real drag boat would be faster, but so would a real drag car so that is a moot point. A video that gives you a reason to smile is always welcome....Thanks Cris.

Great video Chris! And yes, we all know there are faster boats out there, but part of what makes the video so cool is how similar the boat and the cars accelerate. I'll be honest, I thought cars of that caliber would've left that Venom/280 in the dust! Thanks for sharing. :cheers:

Plus some passes in the venom had passenger. No rev limiter and a 22 would of been a different story.

That is I-75 heading towards Naples/Fort Myers............. They are actually on State Road 84 that runs alongside I-75................

Clearly the cars they used were stock being driven by HACKS! They would have no chance with that boat and any car built, tuned and driven worth a damn.

Fun video... but not realistic at all!

Well this was when I was running low 10s with stock turbos but the car is now hitting 8s in the 1/4 Mile at over 160mph. Parker... you'll need more NOS! Of course, my brother is hitting 212mph in the HALF-Mile... how much boat would you need then?

Very cool and very well done boys!! i loved it!! Looks like the Venom had the cars to around the 90mph mark. For a pleasure/Ski boat two up thats awesome!! Loved the drone cam. You guys should do this more your real good at it! you can get guys with there drag boats and various cars. Heck you could turn this into a TV show i would watch it!! Allison RR S3000 Vs 2016 Vette 0-100 ect ect... Viper VS STV anyone and so on. NICE!!!!

My Supra is bone stock , twin turbo automatic car.
The evo was slightly modded, Both drivers gave it all they had out of the hole shot. Made for a fair race against the boat, Yes th stock supra is dam slow. LOL

Clearly the cars they used were stock being driven by HACKS! They would have no chance with that boat and any car built, tuned and driven worth a damn.

Fun video... but not realistic at all!

None of the streets I drive on have a speed limit over 70, so I'm not sure what good that 200mph car does you on the street. Let's all get back to the original thread - great video Chris - sorry I was involved in the thread-jacking......

Come on Charlie, we all know that boats can't come close to comparing with cars like-for-like. That's why I think they give the boats 125' from the holding rope to the start beams - so it SEEMS like they're close because the times actually favor the boats with the flying start. Can you imagine the times the diggers would run if they didn't trip the start beams until 125' from the hit!

There's no doubt other boats would've done better against those cars but you could say the same about both. I think it's a cool video. What I'd like to know is if the cars have been ran on the track and what et's they run. Would give a great idea of what kind of et a typical lake hot rod runs, not a made to order drag boat that is specifically setup for 1/4 mile

Chris,great footage!! I think the Venom did a lot better than expected.Going by the time stamp-Run #1 start@52sec ahead until 1.13 evo and 119 supra---run #2 [email protected] ahead until 2.12---Run #3 [email protected] passed @ 2.33-----That's Venom ahead for 21 sec run 1--15 sec run 2---and 14 sec run 3 I'm guessing the venom is good for 14 sec 1/4 mile at least.So I give ya at least two outta three.Anyway great job!!!:thumbsup:

Take off in the car in what ever gear will be max rpm at the end of the 1/4 mile like the boat has to do racing somthing with a transmission vs a 1 gear vehicle is comparing apples to oranges waste of time and gas

Stock gtr with pro driver runs 11-11.8 on a track. On the road probably 12s. No limiter on the 280 with 22 pitch prop should et a gtr.
