Owner & Builder: Sammy Nasar - Action Marine - Van Born Rd. - Dearborn Heights - Michigan...Sammy owned a high volume CheckMate, HydroStream & Mercury/MerCruiser Dealership in the 60's through 1990. Fun Times...;)

Skaters have their look but I still love these older styled cats.

Fujimo, what did this boat start off life as? Ex race boat? Or pleasure boat? Rigged by Sammy Nasar initially ?

Ex race boat? No. Sammie bought it new & rigged it himself. When Shadow told him he couldn't install big-block power/drives, he proved them wrong. Purely a pleasure boat. Thats Sammie & his mom in the photo, who also worked at Action Marine. Sammie got enjoyment from getting the most performance out of every brand new rig he put together, for both himself and his customers. This includes the first 110 mph 15' HydroStream Viper(in the mid 70's) through to his record breaking V-6 Mercury powerhead snowmobiles.

1981 and it had stepped bottom? When did that design begin?

Sammie sometimes hangs on the Cmate board. Back in the 90s he had a twin turbo 540' in a 22' CM Vision that ran over 131 mph at Lake X.......crazy dude!
