So I have this 1978 Glastron Carlson in muck need of some TLC.

It will need a complete paint job from the bottom up.

I ran across a Roll and Tip method and vid's of quite a few hulls that were looking sharp.

Question is they were using Interlux Topcoat or Brightside paint and a full used it below the waterline.....they looked awesome.

What sort of paint do I need the do the bottom and side in Yellow?

Thanks

Depends on how much you want to spend.....I'd prep it, get some awlcraft2000 and grease a couple guys at the local body shop to spray it....

sorry, that one was straight down the middle, an easy home run. if your going to attempt to roll it, whoh, there's a whole school of thought that goes into a job that resembles a spray job of average talent. with that said, nothing will get you the final gloss of a quality spray job. a half assed painter can deliver the same quality as a nicely done roll job. with that said ,,, to roll a job requires the understanding of cureing times and a few other factors. fun out

My opinion is you are better off leaving it as is than rolling the paint.
whats the plan with the metal flake? Not rolling that?

Plus, if you roll and tip, you'll need to flip the boat to be able to get the paint to float and lay down smooth as it cures............It can be sprayed hanging from an a-frame. But to get the best overall results, flip the boat regardless.
