21 Checkmate Starflite

2002 Mercury 250 Pro XB with Torquemaster gearcase.

Boat had a complete deck off restoration at or around 2005. Everything in the boat is Nidacore and/or Coosa (floor, stringers, transom) and absolutely solid. New fuel tank. No wood in this boat. It is all composite. Very light and very strong.
Interior is perfect.
Seastar pro stearing. Autometer monster guages with GPS speedo. Alpine stereo. LED courtesy lights under gunnel. Hot Foot. In-Control Shifter. Blinker trim and jackplate switches. Trim tabs.
Hydrodynamics setback with Bob's jackplate mounted to it.
Motor just serviced and is ready to run. Injectors cleaned and flowed. New plugs. New lower gear lube & water pump. Runs very strong and reliable.
27' Mercury Trophy prop.
Boat will go into the 80's. Previous owner had it River Ranch this year. It's a runner.
Very nice double axle aluminum trailer fitted to the boat.
Full Cover which covers the entire boat. Motor cover.
You won't find a nicer cleaner Checkmate.
Asking $11,900
(727) 515-3402

Trades I’d be interested in: a nice 21 Paramount, 24 Spectre, or 27 Concept. Would also consider 23 Action Marine Center Console.

This looks like a great boat and a great buy. What am I missing? As a newbie on this forum can one of the 'high RPM' members please check in and help me understand why this boat hasn't sold? From what I've gleaned from the seller, etc - seller bought boat for $XX,XXX (maybe more than asking now) not too long ago...decided it wasn't the best for his waterway, and is now selling...Is the market that bad? Time of year is a factor but a good buy is good any time of the year.
Thanks for any insight.

I don't know what he paid and really doesn't matter. This seems like a great deal to me as one of these all beat up and half rotted out with a beat motor goes for $6-8000. $12000 seems like a really goodprice, but that's just my opinion.

You Checkmate Fans are missing out! This is a great boat with top quality hardware and will run 80+ all day long. Before BKlingel bought the boat from me I did a complete, professional rebuild on the motor by Nicks Creative Marine. All new rings, gaskets, fuel pump, etc. Brand new Sea Star Pro 2.0 helm, Nida Core floor/stringers/ seat boxes, two brand new batteries, new waterpump, gear oil, etc. Boat has Polk Speakers, high end stereo, hyd. jackplate, turnsignal trim and jackplate height, GPS speedo, Autometer gages, tandem axle aluminum trailer with good tires, spare, etc. Boat looks great and is a blast to drive!! I have no horse in this race, just helping out and passing on the knowledge. Guys that have bought boats from me know I put together nice products and this is one of them!
