Has anybody ever tried cryo treating a prop or impeller? A machine shop next door to where I work sells time in their cryo freezer, just wanted some opinions. thanks Tim

We send props all the time ! Reduces the tendency for the thin drag race wheels to crack under heavy usage. I have had good results and the cryo treatment is dirt cheap ! Becarefull you are getting what people advertise , the cryo treatment process is very controlled to get the optimal effect. I would go with some of the more well known cryo business around the country ! I use and have been happy with "300 Below" in Decater, Il...

Jay, the name of this company is Ace manufacturing, they build clutch packs for top fuel and funny cars and I think some stuff for circle track cars, their big buisness is over the road truck clutches and brakes. They bought the machine to treat their tooling. they sell time on the side to help offset the cost of the machine. they charge 9.75 per lb. 1-10lb. 8.78 per lb. 20 lb. and so on, gets cheaper the heaver you get. we ocasionally have them do some drill bits, band saw blades, end mills ect. they charge .85 ea. for small cutters. it is worth the money, makes things last about twice as long. do you have any pricing info for 300 below? thanks Tim

There is a place in Springfield,Mo. Cryopro on Battlefield. I have talked to him a couple of time before. He has been doing pistons for Hydro-Tec. All he need it for is a weekend. Prices are very reasonable. Has been in business for several years now.
Phone# is 417-881-8118.
