I ran a post a while back and was informed the G2 was old news and to research it. I did and found absolutely nothing save the promo vids on Google. I've been away a while and now researching some different possibilities for next season. I have been a Merc guy since 1978 and modified a few of the 2.4 engines. That being said Evinrude is no longer OMC and I refused to do business with OMC years ago but this is Bombardier and they build good products. The only people I knew that make an Evinrude run were Allen Stoker, Mont Racing and Wayne Weeks.

Has anyone got any experience with the new Evinrude G2 300? I would like your impression and thoughts. I like much of the tech and ideas that went into that engine.
Next I used to use a few old Land&Sea components but then they went out of the high performance business and everything disappeared. I talked to Bob some years ago trying to get some info on the expansion chambers he built for the 2.4s and the turbo unit. I had set up a 2.4 with a B&M supercharger and the thing ran great top end but would not idle and vice versa. Loved the dual plug heads as well. Does anyone know what happened to the stuff and why Bob would be so close lipped in discussing any of it?

Finally....The new Fed engine restrictions are ridiculous and no one wants to talk about modifying anything new but I am interested in experimenting. Any thoughts on that situation. Surely there has to be a way around that!?

there is nothing to modify
it,s a complete package
even if you were able tot turn higher rpm,s wat about the separate oiling system
you fall from one problem in another
if you want to modify an engine and do it at a reasonable price buy a pre 2000 engine
yamaha evinrude mercury
if you like the mercury 3 liter but don,t want the hole ecu reflash and hope for e
the best thing
build a mercury 2.5 ignition on it and a brucato ecu
