Reed Cage and Reed help.....

I'm getting ready to order parts today (for a early 80's 200 2.4) and need some help with part numbers. I decided to go with the four pedal rubber coated cages that Rex and everyone talks about. Rex said that they are from a late model 200 2.5, like around the year 2000, but I can't seem to find the merc part number for them any where. I also need the boyesen number for the dual stage power reeds to fit those cages.

Call Rick Racer I got some from him. If you get the set for sst120 motor they come with 2 stage reeds. They are different from a fishin motors cages they look like they'll flow better. You can find the fishin blocks for sale (used) pretty cheap. I bought 4 1/2 sets of the board for 100 bucks. (no I am not selling any of them).

Checkmate Too was selling 4 petal rubber cages from late model sport-jets. Not sure if he has any more. Boyesen Reeds are part number 264-13 I think. I believe Rickracer charges $138.

here. ebay #2408719148. If you get these cheap you can just pick up reeds and save your self between 100-200 bucks

Thanks, do you know what a good sale price would be for them? I don't know the new price because I haven't been able to look them up yet.

I paid $25 a set (just blocks) and I think it was steal. One of my s&f buddies told me he paid $30 a piece and he seemed happy. The sst 120 reeds and cages cost me in the neighborhood of $360 or so. If you figure $140 for the reed then that leaves you to believe that the cages are around $220 or so for new cages. So I wouldnd hesitate to go to $50 or $60 (for the set) cause your still way ahead in the end.
