1987 22' Velocity Project

I re-built this boat last Summer and raced it in the OPA class 7. I flipped it at the Nationals inn Maryland last October so I started over.

I am not a professional fiberglass expert, however I had a close friend that is a composite engineer, worked for several boat manufacturers and is a writer for boating magazines on structural topics guide me every step of the way. it may not be the cleanest job ever done but it is strong as a rock, and certainly way better than most 87 Velocity hulls.

Transom - 2 sheets 3/4" marine ply, 1 sheet 1/4" Marine ply. Matt in between ply. 5 layers ea. 1708, 5 layers ea. 2410.

Knees - 2 pieces 3/4" Marine ply, bigger glassed with 1708 and 2410

Stringers and Bulkheads - 3/4" marine ply 1708 and 2410.

Deck - strengthened on bottom with matt, then glassed with 1708 to hull.

2 front seats - refurbished and look almost new mounted on 2 each, 3" shock mitigating shock stands.

Boat hull - blocked and prepped for paint, all holes filled on dash ready for new gauges.

Trailer in excellent shape with internal fresh water wash down system.

Boat and trailer for sale as is ready to be put back together for $2700.00.

I also have a 1993 Evinrude Vindicator 225 w/Team Second Effort upgrades for sale on S+F for $3450.00. Fresh re-build 0 hours.

I will sell both for $4500.00 ...a steal in my opinion...the motor is worth $4500.00 if I wasn't in a hurry to sell it.
