fishing motor guts into a CLE

what is required to make the swap? new bearing carrier with rear drain? everything else works?

well the question asking if rear drain is all tells me something;) rear drain carrier wont work with fishing motor shaft its too big cle shaft is 1 1/4 dia:eek: all fishing motor shafts are 1 3/16 so it takes all the stuff from one to the other
never mind it has to be set up again like lash and pin height stuff nothing too important :cheers:

we have all the gearcase tools, thanks. So your saying Id need a carrier and HP prop shaft, correct?

nope it will run forever with fishing motor stuff if its set up right , one thing that helps with fishing mota guts is a early 3.0 carrier with a key way its much heavier then the fishin mota stuff, helps with prop shaft flex when surfaceing the prop
