1976 Evinrude 135, what is the earliest year midsection/gearcase that it will fit on?

I am going to sell a 1976 135 Evinrude that I have, I am pretty sure that it will not fit anything newer than 1976, but I am not sure what the earliest year model that it will fit would be. I know that they made these 135s from 73-76, so I assume at least 1973, but I was wondering if it would fit onto an earlier midsection/gearcase?
