Whats the serial number on the motor? That is a 260 cowl. F1 would have came with later style cowl and the gold regulator is for a 39 psi box???? Whats the story? 260 powerhead on a 12" mid??

i got coele after i got motor it is a 280chris fairchaild did elects and injection and yes it is a 39lb reg chris also did the ecu ,its a strong motor with 30hrs less on injecters and ecu may 2hrs on those

LongShot. If I remember the motor is a 280 block with 260 electronics. It is a mild, but strong and dependable motor. Probably a little over 300 hp. RJ West ran the boat for Roger and ran it into the 120's with crap props on it and still working out bugs. This is a legal F1 motor and a good one. The boat since RJ ran it has been reworked by RJ per what Roger told me. This is a all composite Seebold. Hope this helps everyone. As I think of more on it I will post it. It has been 3 or so years ago since it was here.

thats a number 6 gear case in the pictures, and it wont last that long with 300hp to it. that kind of power really needs a #4....i found that out a long time ago. :)

good stout boat as was 1 of seebolds 1st composites made
they only made a very few in all glass
went through some hands and raced in sst120 till barry sold it

john , i ran a glass seebold 1 time , and it was real loud inside the cockpit? so much louder than my wood boats... why is that u think? u could just here where all the water was hitting the boat....loud as hell. motor vibration was loud thru the boat also

wow this is kind of great ,i learn more about that boat every day , i bought that boat without a motor ,I not knowing , put a xri 200 hp 20in mid ,SANK IT @ TIMES, so made new jack plate , had to look out for low bridges ! !!! i finally brought the 280 powerhead then i had to buy a 12in mid and a speedmaster, but what I've learned from the good guy,s , Is trust a real racer and watch for drag racers , for those that are honest keep it that way . were a sm group

O well I,ll keep the boat , there's not a lot of of you want to be racers that could handle it anyway . i'm almost 70 years old , and you don't even know what fast is. I,v got a 101 mph rubber boat 13.6ft tunnel hull with a 2.0 l drage motor and speedmaster lower 300.hp in a 300 lb boat don't judge me. look out for randy anr mr brigeport I thnk hes all right , if says he is donimg for a friend !!! randy look out

thanks im too old for bull **** , but i'm honest and i don,t tell lies,look out for randy in NC lies come real easy to him . i payed for a mid sent 1600 plus ft it took 3 weeks to get piece by piece and was justed lied too time and time again also sent money for speedmaster and he said he shiped with mid all lies and after i told him i was going to call his credit union he did ship today,,I have no use for liers I got ****ed by a drag racer Dave S what is it with drag racers,,F1 boat guys dont do that

So kind of a off topic question but where can someone buy an S2000 or an S3000 new? Do they come directly from mercury?

The only new motor available from Mercury is the 200SST. This is a Optimax based on a 2.5 block that makes 200 hp. It comes with a hydraulic up and down and in and out 12" mid section with a #4 speedmaster. It is $25,000 from a dealer, OEM or a racer. The S3000 is no longer available. If you want a brand new 200SST call me or I have used S3000's. Thanks Todd
