Hi guys I'm after some advice if possible
I have a late 90's Bernico 21 with a 2008 300xs with a 1.62 sport master running a 24 inch trophy plus on a 12 inch set back
I have low WOT and top speed I am topping out at 5000-5100 (tel:5000-5100) RPM and 62mph which this setup should run over 80 all day long
Thinking it was an engine issue I have done all the usual check and replaced a lot of parts for piece of mind it has had both fuel filters, spark plugs HT leads, full set of modified coil packs I have also checked high and low fuel pressure and air pressure and every thing is well in spec and I have checked the reeds to be fair the engine sounds sweet
So I to inspect the prop shaft height and although this was done with the boat in the water so not accurate it appears to be about 4 inch below the bottom of the boat
I know this isn't correct but do you think this could be the only cause?
My next question I have bought a Detwelier 6 inch hydro jack plate and want to fit new bolts when I fit it, the boat it kept in the water in summer and would like to pull the boat out and fit it and get it back in within the weekend so can any one hazard a guess what length transom bolts and engine bolts I would need?
Thanks
Si
