I am a noob....just got a vector with merc 2.5 200hp. I need a "beginer" prop. Want it to plane fast haul 2-3 people and not kill me. Where to get one with out spending a fortune. I'm in GA. Any shops in Florida familiar with hydrostreams in general. Built some drag cars before but new to boats.

When I know It will be rough, carrying passengers or have a beginner driver I put on a regular thru hub prop. I like the merc tempest in 27p. Planes off quick and runs easy. Makes the boat more stable and easier to drive. Still a challenge near top end. Someone may have something similar in the props for sale section.

A Fury might work for you, too, not quite as much lift as a Tempest but better holeshot. I have a 26p in both that I would get rid of, if interested...just throwing it out there. A 26 Fury would be a little faster than a 26 Tempest.

Trying to decide what to with it. 83 vector seems super solid. Some one replaced the floor, installed knees on the transom all the glass work looks good but I don't know about the core. It has the usual stress cracks near the splash well but 1 side the crack is sizeable and spreading downward an inch or two. I can hang off the motor and lift the front of the boat and it doesn't move. I got under it and beat on the pad front to back sounds solid. I just dont know.Tilt trim needs a rebuild, and it needs paint. Haven't had time to REALLY look at it. Maybe I can get some pics and get some in put. As for the props how much $$??
