2002 200 EFI with fat shaft spormaster 1.87.1 / alien cowl , also have stock cowling if interested. The engine is stock and has never been opened up ,smart craft electronics, looks and runs like new. I purchased this engine new in the box in 2003 and it has been garage kept its entire life. Primary use has been in fresh water although it has seen salt water occasionally. $7999.00

Lower unit is essentially new , complete rebuild 03/28/16 . New gear set , input shaft , all bearing and seals , water pump and base plate , prop shaft was surfaced in the seal area , clutch dog and springs. There is a 1 year warranty on parts and labor for the lower unit . All oem mercury parts , have receipt from dealer.

Scott, do you have any idea of how many hours on the motor?

500 to 550 estimated hours. I don't have an ecm status report. I would say I used the boat 15 to 20 times a season with an average run time of 2 - 3 hours each time out over a ten year span.the motor has been a great motor and trouble free. Water pump and thermostats, plugs every year . Gear case oil changed after every third use. Selling to upgrade to a larger motor .

Scott, I am intersted in the motor. Can you provide some general information about the use, what fuel is recommended, how do you use it now, what style boat ect? Is this motor basicly like a 225 promax in design I owned a 97 one of these motors on Bullet boat and I am so somewhat familiar. Thanks

The motor is on a tunnel boat and is used primarly for family use , although i have taken my sons on a couple of runs / gatherings. We generally drive to the springs or the island and the boat sits / looks good. The motor is completely stock and has had no modifications except solid mounts and exhaust canister removed. The suggested fuel is 87 octane although i have always run 93 octane . I am not sure about the promax comparison , although I suspect the max rpm on the pro max may be 7500 rpm vs 5800 rpm on my motor. This is a stock 200 efi unmolested.

Added a photo of stock cowl below, has one spot on left side pan that is scratched.

I've had several of these, factory rpm is all over the map, some are 5800,mine is 6050. they use the motorola 555 box,and simon can set them to 7200,but I would recommend steel caged bearings ,the only real, wearable weak link, in these series of 200's.

Thank you for the comments. This engine has been a great engine , zero issues. Turn key and go never left me stuck or being towed in , seems to be bullet proof.
