I have an extremely clean 1989 XR4 2.4 that I am going to have to part with. The motor came on a Pro craft bass boat which I was going to build into a flats boat. A lot has changed sense I started that little project and now I need to clear our some boating stuff. The engine fires off and runs great. I will be happy to get some compression numbers for anyhow who is interested. The motor is complete but the lower may or may not have an issue as it has a clanking noise when turning it over. I have the lower removed but not disassembled. Also included is a complete 200 front half with carbs, linkage and all for a conversion. I can include the controls and wiring that I removed from the pro craft as well. Message me if you have some interest. Located in South Georgia (leesburg/Albany)

If anyone wants that project which is a completley stripped our hull sitting on solid trailer i will let it go for $300 or $200 with the motor. I also have some other goodies such as a hydro jackplate and seastar pro steering ...... elect.

I had the same experience as you. Asked him some questions about the motor in a pm. He did respond and gave me some of the answers back in a pm. Then said he would get back with me after he went out to where the motor was stored and got the info I was curious about. ..... silence from then on. This was on 9-11-15. Sent a couple more since..nothing back?

Sorry for the lack of updates on this thread. I feel like I have been getting drawn and quartered lately with so much going on. I do still have the motor and It seems there is a tremendous amount of interest in it and I want to be fair to all those who have inquired by giving dibs in the order in which interest was shown. I am about to start responding to all the PMs now.
