I need real setup advice from people with experience. I recently purchased this 1984 Sanger alley cat 23. Really nice original gel coat hull. Twin 200efi 2.5l merc power. Short exhaust tuners is i believe the only mod. Counter rotating 1.87 lowers. The previous owner claimed he went 92mph with the 26p bravo 1s that were on it. I was doubtful knowing these are not high rpm motors and the math didn't add up. Maiden voyage showed 61mph at 4800rpm. Not good. I had some 3 blade 28s that I put on they got me to 72mph and I lost water pressure due to the jb welded pickup system falling off the lower. I need some knowledge on where to start once I get the cooling system fixed up. Should I ditch these props and get something else? Motors too lo or high?

I see your too high for thru hub prop and might be too high anyway
your going to have to tap thread into gear case and do a fitting similar
to flared end like gas stove in the house ,idealy you want just skeg in the water
maybe just touching bullet for top speed watch your trim with that high you maybe running negative trim
