In need of Help, Looking to run my boat at a local shoot out. 1,000 feet
Specs: 96 Mirage Jaguar, stock ProMax 300 (6,200 max rev, 1.75:1 sport master drive.
Any help on prop selection for 1,000 feet would be greatly appreciated.

Depends on how heavy the boat is. But I think a 24 will be too short for a 6200 limiter. speed would be some where around 73. I would be thinking some something more like a tight 26 or 28 unless the boat is heavy.

I would agree with 26-28 for drag but for the shoot out I would think 28-32. The drag is gonna be more about et where the shoot out is gonna be top end. IMO for the 1000' drag I would want to be on my rev limiter at 800' and the shout out 1000'. Are you on pelican???

Shootout is VERY different than a drag race. You'll be in the 28-30 range for best speed at the 1000' mark imo. See ya there.
